Our friends, Dan and Jen, from Duluth spent a quite New Year’s Eve at our house. We were about to sit down to a friendly but competitive game of Settlers of Catan when the wind died down and large snow flakes started falling outside. It was one of those eerily calm and snowy nights that only happen a few times each winter- it was simply too beautiful to pass up! We ventured out into the unplowed streets to nearby Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis for an impromptu photo shoot. We were only outside for 10 minutes but captured a few great photos before we were covered with snow. Afterwards, we rang in the new year with a bit of bubbly and watched the fireworks from the upstairs windows. It was a great way to spend New Year’s Eve.
